Step one is simple. Train yourself to remember more dreams. You should be remembering details of at least one dream every night before you’re ready to induce lucid dreaming.
The best way to train yourself is to keep a dream journal by your bed where you can reach it easily, even in the middle of the night. Have a pad or notebook ready, a pencil or pen, and a light you can write by.
Whenever you wake up, try to remember the dreams you were having right before you awoke. Write down as much detail as you can remember. You’ll find that the act of writing helps you to recall more. Don’t stop writing until you can’t remember anything else about your dreams.
Don’t get discouraged if you don’t recall any dreams right away. Just by telling yourself that you will remember your dreams and you will write them down, you are bound to see improvement.
Read parts of your dream journal every day, several times a day if you can. This will help you to familiarize yourself with your own dreams, and it will also help to prime your mind for remembering more dreams.
Once you’ve reached the point where you’re remembering a dream every day, or almost every day, you’re ready to continue with step 2.
The step 2 post will be added to this site in a few days. Subscribe to our feed to be notified of new posts. Bookmark this page at these sites for easy access:
